Fast embedded compression for video
An embedded coding algorithm creates a compressed bit stream that can be truncated to produce reduced resolution versions of the original image. Unfortunately, such algorithms are relatively slow. We introduce two new concepts in an effort to address this problem: adaptive embedding and cache-based zerotree processing.
